Alumnae

We value our relationship with all alumnae highly.

We like to keep our alumnae up-to-date with school news via a regular newsletter, as well as social media groups.

Alumnae also generously give their time to offer careers advice, join mentoring breakfasts at school, speak as part of our Wollstonecraft Lecture Programme and mentor leavers in their careers.

Blackheath High School also has a thriving Old Girls' Association which offers the fantastic opportunity of keeping in touch and networking with school alumnae.

There is an annual reunion at the Junior School in Wemyss Road each autumn which is always popular. Year groups often get a table together to catch up on news and reminisce about old times. Past members of staff also support the event and the current Head, who is also President of the Association, presents an update on what is happening at the school, and there is often a chance to tour the school. With the extensive redevelopment of the school site due for completion in summer 2018, this will be an exciting opportunity to view the build progress.

In addition to this there is the GDST Alumnae Network, which is the largest organisation of its kind in the country. Established in 1994 as the Minerva Network, and renamed the GDST Alumnae Network in 2011, it has over 70,000 members involved in a wide range of activities all over the world.

Our members benefit from networking both socially and professionally, face to face and online. They receive and give careers support and guidance, they take advantage of a busy and varied calendar of exclusive events and they receive regular email updates on the latest alumnae news as well as our annual alumnae magazine, 'Verve'.

To reconnect with the school and get in touch with former friends, please connect with us through:
