The Buddhist art of mindfulness for Year 7
In Religious Studies this year, we are studying three religions thematically.
Year 7 were asked to research different Buddhist hand symbols that are linked to meditation and contemplation. Each student chose a hand symbol that they felt best represented their perspective and state of mind. They then wrote a piece about why they chose the one they did and were able to link it back to an aspect of their personality or something they aspired to achieve.
At Blackheath High, we believe in teaching a wide curriculum that encompasses a huge range of subjects. For more information about our secondary school and the subjects on offer, explore our website.
