A special invitation to Azores for Blackheath High School students

The Geography Department are very excited to offer your daughter the opportunity to attend a school trip to the Azores.

Created at the junction of three tectonic plates, the nine Portuguese islands of the Azores make the perfect destination for an educational and inspirational geography trip. The Azores have similar geographical characteristics to Iceland but with a warm climate and lush green forests. The trip will include visits to bubbling hot springs and lava tubes, explore Europe’s only tea plantations and maybe even spot whales breaching the surface of the Atlantic Ocean!

The Geography department, together with ‘Discover the World’, will be running this ‘awe and wonder’ sight-seeing trip from Saturday 17 October to Wednesday 21 October 2020.

For current Year 8-12. Deposit and permission slip due 4 November.

Blackheath High pride ourselves on offering loads of extra-curricular activites. For more information about our senior school or girls' sixth form, explore our website.
