Over the past two weeks, Nursery have enjoyed looking after first, a clutch of eggs and then, nine healthy chicks as part of our topic to learn about the life-cycle of a hen.

We watched them hatch and broadcast the event on Chick-cam. It was such a success that the girls made their own chick-cams to get a better view.

The girls really took an interest in their well-being; made sure their brooder box was not in a draft, whispered around them in the classroom, held them carefully, drew pictures of them and even watched them do ‘Chick PE’  in a cardboard box run in the class every afternoon.
