Blackheath High Junior School Science Club

Every Thursday, the girls in Year 4 have the opportunity to join the Science Club, which meets for half an hour at 1.20pm.

During this time, The girls are able to develop their investigation, practical work and skills through guided and varied activities. This can include building models, towers with paper straws to learn about structure and making posters about what scientists do. These activities can include topics discussed in the Curriculum, as well as areas of Science that the girls are unfamiliar with.

The aim for the Science Club is to encourage the girls' interest in Science and broaden their knowledge and understanding. It also encourages the girls to work with others, creating more confidence and improving their communication skills.
