Junior School celebrates Black History Month

Although Diwali falls during our Half-term break this year, our Junior School marked the occasion early with a joyful celebration filled with colour, culture, and an impressive range of activities and events.
We were delighted to welcome our Hindu families into school to share their traditions and faith with us. Pupils spent the day dressed in vibrant clothing and immersed themselves in Diwali-themed stories, dancing, and crafts. During a special assembly, our Hindu pupils took part by sharing how they and their families celebrate Diwali, giving us all a deeper understanding of this beautiful festival.
As always, our talented school chef Rosario and his kitchen team prepared a delicious themed lunch, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
In the spirit of giving, proceeds from our own-clothes day were donated to Room to Read, our chosen charity dedicated to improving literacy and promoting girls’ education around the world.
We wish all our Hindu families a joyful and peaceful Diwali celebration this half-term.
