We are absolutely bowled over for Lucinda (Year 9) and her teammates who this September were crowned U13 Girls National Champions at Lord’s Cricket Ground, earning the prestigious title of National Champions out of 150 teams from across England and Wales. A remarkable journey and victory for Lucinda and team.​

Before reaching the final at the iconic Lord’s Nursery Ground, we battled through seven knockout matches against Holmesdale, Esher, Dulwich, Banstead, Tunbridge Wells, Harpenden, and New Milton. Many of these teams featured county-level players and represented regions including Kent, Surrey, Northamptonshire, and Middlesex. For the final, we played at Lord’s Nursery ground right next to the main pitch. Lord’s is known as the home of Cricket and the main pitch for international England matches. In the end, we beat Overstone Park, who had come from Northamptonshire, with 36 balls left. Lots of our family and friends came to watch and support us. Among my school teammates was Hattie from Year 8, who played many of the early matches, and Reese in Year 13 who helped to warm us up on the day.
