A true highlight of the Senior School calendar is the incredible Art & Textiles Exhibition, which showcases the outstanding body of work created by our GCSE Art and A-level students.
The exhibition, open to friends and family of Blackheath High, invites visitors to explore an impressive collection of acrylic paintings by Year 11 GCSE students, depicting the theme ‘Decay + Dereliction’, along with their own individual exam pieces in response to the set title ‘Gathering’. Each student also designed and made a textiles garment with screen printed features.
A-level Art and Textiles students exhibited a unique collection of works, ranging from complete fashion collections to large-scale painting, ceramic sculpture and mixed-media pieces.
Other highlights of the exhibition include a display by Art Scholars across Years 7-12 produced as part of a range of special workshops and projects undertaken this year. Garments designed by Textiles students were also modelled at another hotly Art Department anticipated event - Fashion Show!
You can take a sneak peek at previous collections below – more will be available after student portfolios have been graded.

The Art Department is so grateful to students, parents, families and friends for their support throughout the year and in attending the exhibition and Fashion Show. Our students work incredibly hard on these superb portfolios of work, and it is fantastic to see so many join us in celebrating their amazing collections of work.
