Senior academic enrichment

The Wollstonecraft Enrichment Programme is unique to Blackheath High School. It broadens our students' educational experience and inspires them in the pursuit of their intellectual passions.

Named after Mary Wollstonecraft, the writer, philosopher and advocate of women's rights, this innovative programme supports learning and encourages exploration of new horizons.

The programme starts in the Senior School, enriching the secondary educational curriculum. It encourages deeper questioning and provides an opportunity to formulate rational arguments about abstract and intellectually stimulating topics. The course also complements the PSHE programme in encouraging students to consider different viewpoints and cultural perspectives, to reflect upon their own subjective experiences and their own place in society. They express their own views openly and confidently, which are then supported by logical reasons and evidence.
