We have had an egg-citing time in Nursery learning about the lifecycle of a hen.

Last week a clutch of eggs arrived and we watched as they hatched over the next couple of days. Then, they moved into a brooder box and we could watch them pecking, eating and sleeping. We even had them out in the class for 'chick PE’ and to give them a stroke. 

The chicks were only with us for ten days, but it was a fabulous experience.
