On Sunday 28 November, talented Year 6 pupil Gaia competed in her first ever National Taekwondo Championship.

At the National Taekwondo Championship, Gaia performed patterned sequences both individually and as a team.

Despite the intention to only attend as a form of exposure to a high-level event and experience how they work, Gaia impressively returned with Gold and Silver medals! She was close to winning a second gold, missing out by a marginal 0.1 of a point to a more experienced participant. 

What a fantastic achievement from Gaia, showing us that we are often far more capable than we think!
