Egg-cellent Parachutes

As part of their topic, ‘Contact Forces’ in Physics, 8G were tasked to design and build a working parachute.

The criteria was to plan, build and test a parachute that could land an egg safely from Mycenae Terrace to the Quad (a height of 16m). The parachute that landed the slowest (and therefore had the most air resistance) and had an intact egg at the end would be the winner.

There were many well thought out parachute designs but the overall winners were Charlotte and Eleanor, whose egg was unscathed and came down with a speed of 0.26 metres per second!
