Dance showcase 

In January, our Junior School pupils took to the stage for not one but two incredible Dance Showcases, featuring Years 3 & 4 and Years 5 & 6 - and what a joy they were! 

The girls lit up the stage with dynamic, high-energy routines set to upbeat hits including ‘Golden’ and ‘Takedown’ from K-Pop Demon Hunters. From perfectly timed cartwheels to confident lifts and impressive splits, their commitment, teamwork and sheer enjoyment shone through. 

It was a truly show-stopping celebration of creativity and confidence, and a wonderful reminder of the power of performance to help our girls flourish.

Netball 

• Croydon Netball Tournament - On Monday 2 February, three Year 6 teams and one Year 5 team travelled to Croydon High to compete in a netball tournament against other GDST schools. The girls demonstrated outstanding determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day, showcasing fantastic netball skills in every match. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and exciting tournament, with all players giving their very best. The Players of the Tournament were Florence, Saadat, Eloisa, and Eliza. Well done to everyone who took part - you should all be incredibly proud of your efforts! 

Hockey 

• Our Year 6 teams put on a fantastic display of determination and teamwork in their Hockey fixture against Sydenham on 21 January. It was a great game to watch, with noticeable progress and growing confidence across all four quarters. The girls showed real effort, resilience, and a much improved understanding of the game. Although both teams were narrowly defeated, their attitude and commitment were outstanding throughout. Players of the Match were Phoebe and Poppy. A brilliant effort from everyone involved.
