How to choose the right primary school for your child

The Senior School Armistice Day Assembly gave us pause to remember the courage, suffering, and sacrifice of those who served - and to honour those who still do.
We reflected on the profound impact of the wars on London and the South East, listened to stories of women whose lives were shaped by these events, and shared a heartwarming poem about the role of women in wartime. We also highlighted the importance of future generations continuing to read and learn from the powerful stories of those who lived through these conflicts - with particular reference to more recent works such as The Women, a historical novel by Kristin Hannah that shines a light on the often-overlooked role of women during the Vietnam War.
The assembly closed with Mr Deacon, one of our peripatetic music teachers, playing out the incredibly moving The Last Post on the trumpet.
This moving sound was echoed at Juniors by peri teacher Miss Clark, who played out The Last Post and Reveille in the playground at 11am. As a mark of remembrance, every child created a poppy for our beautiful display; we sold poppies in the playground to support the Royal British Legion; and we held a special assembly to remind us of the importance of remembrance.
