How to choose the right primary school for your child

This term Reception have been busy studying all things dinosaur related.
We looked at the life of Mary Anning, who was a pioneering fossil collector from Lyme Regis. We found out that when she was alive girls did not routinely go to school, but despite this, she became a world-famous palaeontologist. We also learnt all about the different types of dinosaurs; sorted them using a Venn diagram into carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and created a pictogram to find out our favourite dinosaur type.
The girls made their own fossils using modelling clay and practised being a palaeontologist digging up dinosaur bones and examining them. The absolute highlight though, was a workshop from Rentadinosaur where pupils could learn even more dinosaur facts, touch some real fossils and meet some dinosaurs up close!
