Greenwich and Bexley Hospice mini- marathon

We’re incredibly proud of Ahana in Year 5, who recently completed her fourth consecutive Greenwich and Bexley Hospice Mini Marathon, raising an impressive £451 for such an important cause. Supported by her Blackheath High community, Ahana not only smashed her fundraising goal but also achieved a personal best time of 25 minutes!

If you’d like to support Ahana or see how far she’s gone beyond her target, you can follow her JustGiving page.

The London Marathon 2025

A big shout out to our very own Blackheath High ‘Mighty Girl’ Miss Eaves from the Junior School, who smashed it again in this year’s London Marathon , with a time of 3hrs 52min.

We’re also celebrating two of our brilliant ‘Mighty Dads’, Ben and Gary, who joined her in crossing the finish line of this iconic race, despite the unusually warm weather.

Well done to all on your dedication and resilience – what an incredible achievement!

Cricket

On Friday 2 May, two Year 6 cricket teams travelled to Croydon High for a brilliant afternoon of cricket. Enjoying the balmy sunshine, both teams showed fantastic attitude and resilience on the pitch – we saw some big hits, including fours and sixes. A huge well done to everyone who took part and special congratulations to our Players of the Match, Bella and Luisa – great work, girls!

Our Year 5 cricket teams have also been in action recently, with a highlight match against The Pointer School. While the results didn’t go our way this time, the girls played with fantastic spirit, determination and skill throughout.

Meanwhile our Year 3 and Year 4 cricket teams headed to Royal Russell for an exciting afternoon of matches. The sun was shining, and the girls were full of energy. Both teams showed great skill in batting and fielding. The Year 3 game was unbelievably close – we only lost by 2 runs! Year 4 played with real determination and finished just 20 runs behind Royal Russell. Well done to both teams for their determination, teamwork, and positive attitude.

To round off an exciting few weeks of cricket, our Year 6 team had a fantastic day at the GDST Cricket Tournament, hosted by Northampton High. Undeterred by the 6.30am start, the girls arrived full of energy and determination.

With a mix of wins and losses throughout the day, their resilience paid off as they were crowned Plate Tournament Winners for the second year in a row!

A huge well done to our brilliant cricket team: Meera, May, Molly, Isabelle, Summer, Eloise D, Damla, and Emily – what a superb achievement!
