Spirits far from dampened at Early Years Sports Day

Even though the day started with pouring rain and a very damp sports field, the Early Years Foundation Stage still went ahead on Tuesday 6 June and great fun was had by all.

The Nursery and Reception girls competed enthusiastically in Houses and teams in many events including egg and spoon races, football skills, sack races, target throwing and even relay running! At each station, the Nursery girls worked together in teams to complete each race and the Reception teams were able to gain points for their House. After all the stations were completed, the girls took part in competitive running races. Reception kicked things off with three different races followed by some Nursery fun runs. The girls and teachers cheered on the sidelines with great enthusiasm and encouragement. The girls put in an amazing effort despite the poor weather!

Congratulations to the following girls for coming first in their running races:

  • Chloe - RB, Tilly - RB, Emma - RB, Isabella - NPM, Seren - NFT and Mila - NAM

The following girls took second place:

  • Riya - RH, Livia - RH, Akshara - RH, Skye - RH, Natalia - NPM, Ava - NFT and Sophie -NAM.

The following girls took third place:

  • Gigi - RB,  Leila - RH, Sienna - RH, Ella - NPM, Isla - NFT and Sara - NAM

Meridian House clinched the first place title followed by Morden. Paragon took third place and Vanbrugh came fourth.

Thank you to all the girls and teachers for their participation and support.
