Spirits far from dampened at Early Years Sports Day

Even though the day started with pouring rain and a very damp sports field, the Early Years Foundation Stage (our nursery and reception groups) still went ahead on Tuesday 6 June and great fun was had by all.

The Nursery and Reception girls competed enthusiastically in Houses and teams in many events including egg and spoon races, football skills, sack races, target throwing and even relay running! At each station, the Nursery girls worked together in teams to complete each race and the Reception teams were able to gain points for their House. After all the stations were completed, the girls took part in competitive running races. Reception kicked things off with three different races followed by some Nursery fun runs. The girls and teachers cheered on the sidelines with great enthusiasm and encouragement. The girls put in an amazing effort despite the poor weather!
