Welcome to Blackheath High EYFS, where girls begin their exciting educational journey in an environment tailor-made for them.
Nursery and Reception classes together form our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We are situated in the centre of Blackheath Village and really are at the heart of the local community. Our girls have a well equipped outdoor play area as well as making regular trips to our own ‘Forest School’.
We aim to ensure that our girls are provided with a secure and stimulating environment, with a wide variety of activities within a broad and balanced curriculum, giving pupils the opportunity to explore, have fun and make the most of their physical, cognitive, creative and social skills.
Our girls soon settle into the warm and friendly environment of our school. From the moment the children arrive at school, they embark on an exciting educational journey and are supported by a team of dedicated staff. Each EYFS class has both a teacher and teaching assistant. Our staff are well qualified and experienced EYFS specialists; we also have our own Forest School leader.
Together with small class sizes - and a low pupil-teacher ratio, we offer the best start for young girls with inquisitive minds.
Through both the curriculum and our co-curricular activities programme, we are able to excite, inspire and challenge our young pupils to exceed expectations. We provide opportunities for our girls to discover the world around them and become independent and confident learners with a life-long enthusiasm for learning.
