A-level results buck the national trend with 2023 results above those achieved in 2019

Blackheath High School students continue to surpass national averages, with A-level results above those achieved by the school in 2019 (the last year before pandemic interruption, to which grades are being compared nationally). The number of students receiving straight As has doubled.

Prestigious university destinations include the University of Oxford, UCL, Manchester, Bristol, Bath and Exeter, with students pursuing subject pathways such as Law, Theology, Economics, History, Forensic Computing, Cyber Security and Landscape Architecture. We are pleased to see such a diverse range of subject choices, along with continuing our tradition of strong STEAM results and destinations.

Hard work and high grades in arts subjects have enabled our students to take up degree courses in Music, Prosthetics & SFX Design and Creative Writing. Students continue to go against the national grain in Modern Foreign Languages, with 100% of our French students achieving an A*-A grade.
