The role:

If you offer in-depth knowledge and understanding of ICT technologies and systems, this position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICT Technician to play a key role delivering technical support at Blackheath High School.

You will support the ICT Network Manager in the management of the ICT service desk, monitoring and maintaining the School’s ICT systems, responding to support tickets and giving advice and guidance to users where necessary. You will also install new and upgraded ICT systems and ensure the integrity of the School’s ICT systems is maintained.

We expect you to have an understanding of the latest trends in ICT with a proven track record of server and network infrastructure, implementing ICT systems changes and diagnosing and resolving complex technical errors.

You will also need the ability to provide advice and guidance to users in their use of ICT equipment. Experience of working with Microsoft server operating systems is equally important.

This is a full-time role, working all year round and the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible around the needs of the school, including during holiday periods when major works take place. There will also be a requirement for occasional evening and weekend working to support events.
