Co-curricular Clubs

We run an exciting co-curricular programme of clubs and societies right from Nursery through to Sixth Form.

Research into the benefits of co-curricular activity in schools has found that students who participate in these activities attain higher academic results, have better relationships at school, and are more likely to lead healthy, active lifestyles when they leave school. Students also learn the value of commitment, teamwork, discipline, and open-mindedness.

For these reasons, our co-curricular programme is integral to a Blackheath High education.

In the Junior School, inspiration starts in the classroom and is developed further by our exciting co-curricular programme. Clubs and activities fuel young imaginations and build skills and confidence; there is something for every girl. Lifelong passions and enthusiasms start here!

For Senior School girls, learning extends beyond the four walls of the classroom, allowing students to make friends across age groups and build confidence. Girls can choose to join clubs purely for fun and relaxation or work towards representing the school through sports teams, music, drama, and other selective and competitive teams. These activities can develop teamwork, public speaking abilities, problem solving skills, self-expression and creativity.

In the Sixth Form, our students build on these skills by running their own societies where they pursue and develop their personal interests, sharing them with the girls in the younger years.
