Hidden Nature Challenge puts Blackheath High School on the map

In an effort to nurture nature appreciation and observational skills, Blackheath High School students have taken on the Hidden Nature Challenge as part of the National Education Nature Park and Climate Action Awards. Our students ventured outdoors, capturing over 150 photos of hidden nature around our school, both indoors and outdoors. These captivating snapshots are now featured on a live world map, accessible to everyone in the UK. This unique display of biodiversity showcases hidden treasures often overlooked in our daily routines.

The Hidden Nature Challenge goes beyond the school premises, fostering a sense of community among students and educators. By uploading their findings to the online map, participants contribute to a national dialogue on the importance of nature in education and conservation. Our students have made their mark on the world map today, encouraging a generation of environmentally responsible citizens.
