Sports round-up - Junior & Senior School

As always, we have had some great, competitive matches and races to report back on these last few weeks and very well done to those girls who have been individually selected to represent their sport at county and national levels.

Here are some of the highlights:

Cross-country

  • A huge well done to Sophia-Rose, Emma, Kirra and India who ran in the London Schools Cross-Country after qualifying to represent the Borough of Greenwich! They all did so well! Special mention to Sophia-Rose and Emma who sprint-battled it out for 8th & 9th place.

  • Huge congratulations to Marley who came 40th out of 395 runners at the National English Schools Cross-Country competition.

Netball

  • In the last Saturday before the holidays, we had some great fixtures for the netball teams. Big wins for the U12, U13, U15; a draw for the U16s; and a loss for the U19s. Well done to all. Players of the match: Elodie, Tara and Eva. A huge thank you to the Senior School students that had their last ever school netball today. We are very proud of you!

  • In a separate fixture, the U19 Netball Team had a great win against St. Dunstan’s College

Hockey

  • Well done to the awesome U13 hockey squad who finished off the season with their first 11-a-side match. A close 0-0 exciting game against Bromley High School. Players of the match: Poppy and well done to Chizara in goal for fantastic saves.

Cricket

  • We are delighted by the news that Reese (Year 10) and Grace (Year 7) have been selected to represent Kent at county level. Reese has also been selected to play in the GDST Select Cricket team against the MCC next term.
