Charities & Communities - welly walks, the big clean-up and more

As always, much has been going on in our Charities & Communities activities area, whether it is being green and looking after the community around us or raising money for some of the great charities out there. Here are just some of the things that we have been up to.

  • The annual Welly Walk took place on a lunchtime at the end of term - a lovely event where Year 7s don their wellies for a charity walk around Greenwich Park. This year we are raising money for the Gladys Ayebea Hammond Foundation.

  • Our Year 7 students have been busy litter picking in Blackheath this week, as part of our ongoing community engagement and eco initiatives. With Earth Day coming up in April and World Environment Day in June, our sustainability projects are in full swing, and our Eco Monitors will be out and about around school next week to look at progress in our eco projects and explore more green opportunities

  • Junior School had a very bright and shiny Red Nose Day, raising money for Comic Relief. Some great red outfits were donned, the School Council led a special Red Nose Day assembly, and we had some quiz time fun to see which Year group had the most knowledge about RND. Kudos to Year 5 for their win!
