SEND
Blackheath High School offers Special Educational Needs Provision (SEND), paying due regard to the 2015 SEND Code of Practice. Each SEND pupil is encouraged to ‘achieve beyond the realm of her expectations’. Details of this provision can be viewed in the attached booklet.
"My name is Mrs. Fitzpatrick and I am the SENCO/Learning Support Teacher at Blackheath High Senior School. My background is in Education and Languages and I work as part of a team with the teachers in the school to support girls in a range of subjects, in particular, English and Mathematics. I enjoy my job because it is so varied and it allows me the opportunity to work with students on a one-to-one, and small group basis.
I firmly believe that if you are self-motivated and have a desire to learn, you will succeed. I also believe that creating a positive rapport is key to providing effective learning support.
