Our intrepid Finance & Bookings Manager Mrs Scrace, has signed up for her first-ever half marathon. She will be taking on the London Landmarks Half on Sunday 12 April in support of More Than Words, which raises vital funds to provide free Makaton training for parents and carers of children with communication difficulties.
We couldn’t be prouder of Lisa as she prepares to take on the 13.1‑mile closed-road route through the heart of London. Starting at Pall Mall, runners will pass iconic sights including Big Ben and the Tower of London – all part of a spectacular course celebrating the capital’s rich history and culture, complete with a special royal‑themed twist for 2026.
Although Lisa regularly runs 5k with the HooRunners, she admits that “the thought of long‑distance running absolutely terrifies me!!” – but in true GDST spirit, she’s determined to push through and raise £750 for this very special charity that is close to her heart.
