The Junior School Art Exhibition is a real highlight, and Nursery girls were excited to use their seaside topic to create artworks for display.
Using cyanotype paper and a carefully arranged collection of seaside objects, the children placed their compositions in sunlight and watched the results emerge, sparking plenty of curiosity and conversation along the way.
Alongside this, pupils have started a series of observational shell drawings, learning to really look rather than draw from memory, and experimenting with pencil pressure to create light, shade and depth. The results were a very well-kept secret until the exhibition!
