Visitors to the Art & Textiles Exhibition 2026 were treated to an inspiring display of creativity, imagination and technical excellence from our GCSE and A-level Art and Textiles students.
Year 11 students presented an impressive body of coursework, showcasing a wide range of media including printmaking, ceramic sculpture and acrylic painting inspired by the theme of Decay and Dereliction, alongside beautifully crafted original textile garment designs. Also on display were their individual GCSE examination pieces, produced in response to the externally set theme, Found. This final project gave students the opportunity to demonstrate both their creative vision and technical skill, transforming highly original ideas into accomplished final outcomes within the challenge of the ten-hour examination.
The A-level exhibition showcased some of the most ambitious and accomplished work produced by our students in recent years. Over the course of two years, each student developed a deeply personal investigation, resulting in a diverse collection of sophisticated and thought-provoking outcomes. The exhibition highlighted not only exceptional artistic talent and technical expertise, but also the confidence, resilience and individuality that our students have developed throughout their studies.
The breadth, originality and quality of work on display was a wonderful celebration of the creativity and dedication of every student, and a fitting culmination of months of hard work and artistic exploration.
