Language, movement and ‘healthy me’

From cracking eggs to role play, Nursery enjoy lively learning and hands-on fun.

This term has been full of lively learning and hands-on fun in Nursery. In phonics, we explored new sounds through songs and actions – from cracking “eggs” on our heads for e to opening and closing “umbrellas” for u – bringing plenty of energy and laughter to our learning. Fine motor skills were developed through threading activities inspired by our stories, while new farm puzzles helped children practise positional language such as under, beside and next to.

In our Healthy Me learning, children sorted foods into “healthy” and “sometimes” categories, showing a thoughtful understanding of how to keep their bodies strong.

It has been a joyful term of movement, stories and practical exploration, with curious minds and busy hands leading the way.
