BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
Limitless learning
Our extensive co-curricular programme inspires curiosity, builds confidence and helps girls discover lifelong passions. From Reception onwards, pupils can take part in a wide range of age-appropriate clubs during lunch and after school. Younger girls enjoy Ballet and French, while older pupils can explore exciting options such as Mighty Girls, Mandarin, Football, 3D Design, Chess, Robotics, Italian, Drama, Cricket, Mindfulness, and Yoga.
INSPIRING YOUNG MUSICIANS
Music is an integral part of the Junior School. A variety of ensembles and choirs cater for all levels, and are incredibly popular. Taster courses also offer pupils the opportunity to try a wide range of instruments including piano, guitar and ukulele, drums, violin, viola, cello, double bass, trumpet, cornet, trombone, tuba, flute, recorder, singing, clarinet, saxophone and harp. If these tasters ignite their musical passions, they can continue learning with one of our highly qualified team.
THE MIGHTY GIRLS CHALLENGE & CLUB
The Mighty Girls Challenge, our activity-based project for girls in Years 3, 4 and 5, opens up a world of exciting new possibilities and ideas, at the same time as fostering a host of new skills that are predicted to be central to tomorrow’s workforce.
From intellectual challenges like learning words in a different language and redesigning cover artwork for their favourite books, to physical feats like climbing a tree or learning to juggle, to problem solving by creating an eco-friendly birdhouse or upcycling an old jumper into a tote bag, girls are empowered to experiment, take risks and get curious.
Once they have completed the Mighty Girls Challenge, Year 6 girls are invited to join the Head at our hugely popular Mighty Girls Club, where they can explore and debate topics that matter to them, from feminism to sustainability.
SMALL STEPS TO BIG FUTURES
Preparing girls for life beyond school starts early. Our Futures programme begins in Nursery, introducing even our youngest pupils to the skills, confidence and mindset they’ll need to thrive in the future. Through creative, age-appropriate activities, Junior School girls explore concepts such as financial literacy, leadership, and career awareness in ways that spark curiosity and ambition. As they move through the school, the programme evolves with them, equipping them to step into the world with purpose, resilience and a clear sense of direction.
TRIPS & VISITS
We have designed an extensive trips programme to inspire, challenge and expand pupils’ learning beyond the classroom. From exploring the rich history and culture on our doorstep – through visits to the Houses of Parliament, Tate Modern, the National Maritime Museum and Dulwich Picture Gallery – to venturing further afield to castles, palaces and historic landmarks, every trip is an opportunity to spark curiosity and deepen understanding.
From Year 5, girls take part in exciting residential adventures across the UK and Europe, culminating in a much-anticipated ski trip in Year 6. Alongside this, challenge days and team-building experiences help strengthen friendships, build resilience, and develop key life skills.
