Community events
welcome to our world
We are part of a vibrant, dynamic, creative and aspirational local community and we always look for ways to welcome visitors into our space and share our resources, our facilities and all the things that make our school so special.
We have a lively programme of activities throughout the year, including our Classic For Kids musical adventures, ‘Step Into…’ stay and play events, and our Wollstonecraft Lates, partnering with local organisations to bring engaging local and historic talks to our community.
Whether you’re a parent, alumna, neighbour or local family, you’re warmly invited to join us and be part of what makes our community so special.
Classics for Kids
Our hugely popular interactive musical storytime sessions for little ones aged 0-5! Join our talented musical students on an exciting themed storytelling adventure – little ones can try out instruments, dance, sing, get involved or just listen.
Step into...
Every term, we host a very special stay, play & learn session themed around a thrilling topic for children aged up to 6. Previous events have included a minibeast adventure, a journey into space – complete with inflatable planetarium! – and a morning of preschool scientific discovery.
Wollstonecraft Lates
Local experts join us to explore and share their own passions with our wider community. For the last few years, we have partnered with renowned historical group the Blackheath Society, using their expertise and connections to host some fascinating talks. Past events have included the work of Blackheath High alumna and fashion icon Mary Quant; the incredible work of local artist alumna Jean Cooke RA; and the intricate architectural embroidery of renowned local architect and former Blackheath High parent, Theresa Forrest.
