Required from: September 2021

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: Part Time – 74%

Salary: Competitive plus benefits

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Psychology Teacher to join a thriving and successful Psychology Department.

At Blackheath High School, Psychology is well-established at Sixth Form and is a tremendously exciting and important subject. It has a profound effect on students, making them more analytical about the ideas and attitudes they encounter in life. At Blackheath High, we study the new AQA specification for Psychology, covering topics such as Memory, Social Influence and Schizophrenia.

You will use a range of strategies to meet the needs of Sixth form students studying Psychology, teaching with expertise and enthusiasm, offering support to the learning of individual students and contributing to the school’s pastoral system. You will also be responsible for maintaining a scheme of work and development plan for the subject. Staff are also expected to contribute to our co-curricular programme.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be a well-qualified Psychology graduate with experience of teaching Psychology at A Level and a proven track record of academic success within the subject.
