Hours: Full time

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and passionate PE Teacher to join a thriving and successful PE Department within an exceptional school with excellent PE facilities.

The ideal candidate will have Level 1 (or equivalent) coaching qualifications in Hockey and/or Netball with experience of working with children within a school environment from KS3 to 6th form.

The role will involve teaching across both the Senior and Junior Schools, with the additional responsibility of Fixtures Co-ordinator.

As a key member of staff, you will be expected to contribute to our co-curricular programme, which will include some evening commitments and Saturday fixtures.

Physical Education and Sport at Blackheath High School is an important and flourishing department, looking to further enhance its participation and growth for all approach.

Facilities at Blackheath are excellent, at both the Junior and Senior schools there is a netball court and indoor space; a gymnasium at the Juniors and a sports hall at the Seniors, who also have a Dance Studio and a Fitness Suite. At our sports fields, we have a floodlit Astroturf, three Netball courts (which double as Tennis courts), a pavilion and a field which homes our Rounders pitches and Athletics track.
