European Day of Languages and Language Week celebrated with a host of fun linguistic activities
The Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department has been celebrating European Day of Languages (EDL). Year 5 students from three local schools joined us at our Senior School for lots of fun activities across French, German, Mandarin and Spanish. Within school all Year groups have participated in some great quizzes, covering amongst others - fun facts, word origin and a quiz on the most spoken languages.
The last week of half term has seen a very exciting line-up of activity for Senior School Languages Week 2022 including our very own MFL Masked Singer competition, Salsa fun, Eiffel Tower Building, a Treasure Hunt led by Sixth Form linguists, Pétanque, a talk from Sanako (the language learning platform) and MFL Karaoke!
