EYFS Co-curricular

At Blackheath High Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our girls enjoy a diverse co-curricular programme.

After school, Reception pupils are offered a different club each term; these are taken by staff they know to ensure they feel comfortable exploring these new opportunities. This year we have a Story Club, Drawing Club and Mindfulness.

We also have Ballet and Drama clubs which are run by specialists.

These exciting early clubs give the children the confidence to build on their co-curricular experiences year on year. Please view our Co-curricular guide below, which outlines the vast range of clubs we offer with the aim of complementing our curriculum.

“I teach “Forest school” in our wonderful outdoor space and it is here where the children are given the opportunity to climb trees, look for minibeasts and play make believe games; all of which enable independent learning where children can be as creative as they want to be.  I honestly love my job and feel lucky to be working with a team who are as passionate about their work as I am.  Although this is a bit of a cliché, we do all endeavour to ensure each girl is given the opportunity to reach her full potential and we try to make every day as fun as possible to inspire their love of learning.”
