DUKE OF EDINBURGH: YEAR 10 & 11s PRACTICE EXPEDITION FOR THE SILVER AWARDS

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is really useful way to develop your team building skills and learn how to do things you may not have done before, such as map reading.

There are multiple sections to The Duke of Edinburgh Award; there is volunteering, where you have the opportunity to volunteer to help your community; skills development, where you can learn a new skill to develop your overall skills; and physical, where you can improve your fitness levels and have fun!

Last weekend, 36 Year 10 and 11's undertook their Silver practice expedition in Meopham, Kent. The expedition was really fun and helped make teamwork a priority. Sleeping overnight was a little chilly but a great experience of living in the outdoors. I would really recommend doing DofE to anyone thinking about it, as it’s fun and a great experience!
