Katie demonstrates her passion in short story competition

We are so proud of Katie who entered an Alex Rider short story writing competition last term and has been selected as one of five runners-up.

During her time in our Junior School (now Year 7), Katie became a huge fan of the Alex Rider series written by Anthony Horowitz. To demonstrate her love for the series and to take part in the competition, she wrote a short story with the starter "When the doorbell rings at three in the morning, it's never good news". The story was described as a 'pleasure to read' and packed with action, adrenaline and adventure.

Katie has won for the school a signed copy of the brand new mission in the Alex Rider series Nightshade, and a class set of Alex Rider secret message pens, bookmarks and stickers.

Katie has an incredible passion for reading and English, so she is thrilled at her success. Well done, Katie!
