Judges wowed by Blackheath High dancers

The dance company have been working hard on their performance which tells a story of Flight 19 - a Navy fighter plane, that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle in 1945. The girls have shown excellent commitment to their Friday rehearsal slot, working tirelessly, to learn and polish the routine ready to compete against other schools.

The girls were outstanding at their first competition and the judges were wowed by their ability to tell the story through their facial expressions and movement projection – something we had been working really hard on in rehearsals. They finished in first place and qualified to represent Greenwich at the Copper box arena! Again, the girls danced with elegance and passion and left us so proud of their achievements.

Next the girls will head to Kent to compete in the regional rounds of The Great Big Dance Off in the hope to represent the South East at the National Finals. As we await a new date for this the girls continue to practice tirelessly at home. We will keep you updated on their progress – Watch this space!
