Red Nose day at Junior School

On Friday 24th March, Junior School girls arrived at school adorned in red outfits and red noses in support of Comic Relief. In the weeks preceding we managed to sell seven boxes (336) of red noses within two days, such was the enthusiasm! Our parents, as usual, were very supportive and came up trumps with an array of delicious home bakes for the cake sale. During morning break, our playground became a sea of red excitement with girls clamouring to buy a cake (or two or three). The charitable ethos of Blackheath High School was encapsulated by a large number of girls who donated any money they had left, to the charity collection.

Additionally, parents and staff took part in sweepstakes to raise further funds.  The final total raised was a fantastic £812.45!  Well done and thank you to everyone!
