Geography visit to Queen Mary University

On the 8th of February, Blackheath High Sixth Form Geographers attended a lecture, by Regan Koch, on urban public spaces at Queen Mary's University of London. It was a very interesting experience as, not only was it an educational trip, but as most of the case studies were set in London we found it very relevant to our own lives. It was also very insightful as we learnt how public spaces began centuries ago in Ancient Greece in the Agora, the very first market place, and how that has evolved into the public spaces that we recognise today.

We found the experience incredibly useful and enjoyable, and would definitely consider going back for another lecture.
