Juniors learn to speak out and stay safe with the NSPCC

Thank you to the NSPCC who visited our Junior school to introduce the girls to the Speak out Stay safe programme. The initiative was launched during separate age-appropriate assemblies for KS1 and KS2, during which the programme's mascot 'Buddy' talked to the girls about the importance of speaking out if they are upset or worried. We also learned about the vital work that the NSPCC carries out across the country to help children who are in trouble. Girls in Years 5 and 6 then took part in workshops organised by the NSPCC.

Over the next few weeks, the Junior School will be involved in a sponsored Maths challenge to raise money for the charity. Buddy will be returning to the Junior school later in the term to show us how our money has helped other children and to remind the girls about the importance of speaking out.
