Artsmark Gold Award

The impact of the arts provision on students’ behaviour, attitude, engagement and aspirations can be seen all around the school in the confidence which exudes from well-mannered, articulate and enthusiastic learners.” Arts Council (Artsmark Gold Award)

ARTSMARKGOLD_RGBBlackheath High now holds the ‘Artsmark Gold Award’ by the Arts Council, in recognition of our ‘excellence in arts and cultural provision.’

Our focus upon cultivating each of our girls’ full academic potential is based on a firm commitment to the girls’ whole development: spiritual; intellectual; emotional and physical. The Arts Council comments “Your school values the arts and culture and promotes students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.”

The Artsmark Gold has a wide scope and the report covers many areas including: vision, positive impact quality, engaging with cultures, leadership and consultation, community and skills development; our school was commended in every category.

They (our students) spoke of the self-confidence and pride they had felt performing at venues such as the Naval College and at the professional Greenwich Theatre” Arts Council (Artsmark Gold Award)
