Facilities

The Junior School at Wemyss Road is housed in the original 19th Century premises in Blackheath Village. The historical building has been updated extensively and features a newly-refurbished library, dining room, a Science laboratory, an Art, Design & Technology workshop, two ICT suites, a Music room, a digital radio station and a Modern Languages room.

There is also a large theatre and a purpose-built nursery with its own entrance and playground. Key Stage 2 pupils use the sports field with its astro-turf, tennis and netball courts at Kidbrooke Grove.

The playground area has been landscaped to provide an exciting and stimulating area for the girls to play.

There has been a large investment in providing up-to-date ICT facilities including data projectors, interactive whiteboards and iPads.

The Senior School at Vanbrugh Park is just across the Heath, near to Greenwich Park, and combines historic buildings with modern purpose-built facilities, including a performing arts centre, cookery room, a hi-tech languages laboratory, a multi-media resource centre, state of the art science laboratories, a Design and Technology suite, Art studio, Music Suite, several ICT suites and a digital radio station. There is also a Sports Hall, Dance Studio and Fitness Suite.

The Sixth Form The Sixth Form has its own base away from the rest of the Year Groups. It is a bright and happy environment. There is a Common Room, a kitchen and 2 silent study rooms, equipped with study booths for each student. There are further rooms for sixth form lessons. The Common Room is well equipped and adjoins the kitchen so is a perfect area for relaxing during breaks with a cup of tea and some obligatory toast!  All sixth form students are loaned laptop computers, to help them with their studies. The whole school is supported by a wireless network, which is fantastic for using IT resources either in the Sixth Form area or in lessons. The laptops can be taken home, therefore allowing easy transfer of your work.

Sports Field – The school owns its own 5-acre sports field at Kidbrooke Grove, complete with full-size all-weather pitch, purpose-built sports pavilion and 13 tennis courts, and netball courts.
